Lenovo has always been the best in providing the quality products for the users at affordable prices. On one hand it is managing to meet the requirements of the users by embedding latest technologies in the products and, on the other hand, offering the products for reasonable prices. Same is the case with Android-based smartphones as the company is launching various devices into the market at regular intervals. We already had seen Lenovo A7000 and Lenovo A7000 Plus handsets in the previous year.

Now, it has launched Lenovo A7000 Turbo recently into the market which is packed with high specifications. With a 5.5-inch screen and 2 GB RAM, this device managed to attract the phone lovers in a short time. So, in here we are going to share few tips using which you can easily speed up the performance of the handset in 5 minutes.

Check for the Latest Update

Every Android user should remember to check the software updates regularly as the manufacturers release them through OTA. Usually, for some devices, a notification about the software update will appear. Those who didn’t receive any notification can check for the same manually by opening ‘Settings>About Device’.

The software updates contain fixes for the bugs and enhancements to improve the device functionality. So, once you find any update for your device, then download and run it on your handset so as to gear up the performance of the phone. Also, few third-party developer releases few updates to enhance the performance of the device, but they seem to be bit risky as you may void the warranty from your device manufacturer. So, it is advisable to go with the official OTA’s which are released directly from the manufacturer.

Turn Off Animations

Whenever you open or close specific app or folder in the device, you may see some lag in the task. The reason behind this is animation scale, which you can change manually. In the latest Android versions, ‘Developer Options’ have been enabled using which users can perform specific tasks. To awake these options, tap few times on the ‘Build number’, under ‘Settings>About Device’.

Once these are enabled, then you can find them under your device settings. Now, open the options and scroll down to find animation settings where by default everything will be pointed to 1X. You can now, turn them off completely or disable them so as to improve the performance of the device instantly. Also, you can go back to the previous settings by reversing the process.

Avoid Live Wallpapers and Widgets

The beauty of the display may improve by enabling Live Wallpapers on your device background. But, at the same time, it may have an affect on the processor as these live wallpapers put more pressure on the processor and as a result, you may see a lag in the performance of your phone. So, we advise you to use normal wallpapers and screensavers which also enhance the look of your phone’s display.

On the other hand, using Widgets also harm the device functionality. They pressurize the processor and sometimes they may cause over-heating problems too. So, it is advisable to avoid all the widgets and use just one or two if needed. By doing this, you can save the processor from over-loading and so it can function smoothly.

Uninstall Apps

As like other Android devices, Lenovo A7000 Turbo also comes with few bloatware in the form of pre-installed apps. These may occupy the storage space and cause the issues like battery-draining and over-heating. So, we advise you to uninstall them from the device and if you don’t find an option to uninstall then disable them from the settings.
Other than bloatware, the users might have installed several apps from the play store out of which few would be unnecessary. So, once recheck all the apps you downloaded and uninstall them from the app manager section. This will free the storage space and also helps the device to perform smoother.

Remove App Cache

Another important thing to consider here is cache. Whenever you open or use a particular app on the device, the cache gets stored in its background, and if you fail to clear it on time, it increases its size. So, open each app from the app manager and tap on ‘Clear Cache’ button. By doing this, you device will be free from app caches.

Factory reset

Another most important thing that you can perform on your device so as to increase the performance is factory reset. Try this method only when the device is running extremely slow. Also, remember that all the data stored in the device will be erased after the factory reset, and so you need to take the backup of entire data before proceeding any further.

Now, you can perform the factory reset using hard reset and soft reset methods. First, we will look at hard reset method. Turn off your device and get it into the recovery mode. For that, you need to hold volume up, volume down and power button simultaneously at the same time. Release the power key when you see Lenovo Logo on the screen. Keep holding the volume buttons until you see the recovery mode menu. Now, select ‘English’ and then go for ‘wipe user data’. Next, choose ‘Fuse wipe data’ and confirm the process by selecting ‘Yes’. That’s all; within few seconds the process will be finished, and you will have a whole new device in your hands.

Another way to perform the same task is by soft reset method. In here, open ‘Settings>Backup & Reset>Factory data reset>Reset Phone>Erase Everything’. That’s it; now the factory reset will be done in few seconds. Now you can see the improvement in the functionality of the device.

Few other tips

Also, by following few other precautions, you can easily boost up the device performance. Always turn off the Bluetooth, WiFi and data connections whenever not in use. Try to turn off the data while travelling and in low-network areas as it may discharge the battery very soon. Adjust the brightness and rotation of the screen manually instead of auto-selection. To get the full use of the battery, always charge the battery with original chargers. Never perform multi-tasking on the phone (opening several apps at a time), as it over-loads the processor and hangs the phone.
