Aircel, a Chennai-based Indian Telecom operator, has launched a new special pack in celebration of the Independence day. On August 15, India would be celebrating its 70th anniversary of the freedom and what is a better time to give a little freedom to its consumers from limited data and voice tariffs.

The Aircel is calling the new special pack, Azaadi Offer, which promises to offer unlimited mobile internet usage as well as voice calling too. The users can recharge with Rs 123 to enjoy the benefits of this Azaad pack. You might be wondering if there is an FUP limit here, well the company hasn’t put any disclaimer anything of such.

Anupam Vasudev, Chief Marketing Officer, Aircel, said, “With ‘Azaadi Offer’ we are removing the cost barrier for our customers and replacing it with unlimited benefits.

Though, there is a catch to this offer. The Aircel subscribers can only enjoy this pack on the Independence day itself, as it is only valid for one day. Yeah, that’s quite unfortunate. But look on the bright side, you can talk as much as you want and be connected to internet whole day without worry about the data pack usage.

Note that the unlimited voice calling is available to the only local network, but not for the STD number. It is interesting to note that the local call is free to any mobile number, irrespective of the Telecom operator on the other end. Apart from unlimited voice time, you could spend with your family and friends. You can also enjoy unlimited downloading, live video streaming, browsing HD content as well as online multiplayer gaming.

In a related telecom news, Reliance Jio might be finally launching their Prepaid 4G service to the smartphone consumers in the country. As it is reported that the much awaited public release might be happening on August 15th. The Telecom operator might again launch it’s services but with some conditions such as the free SIM would be available to only people who are buying 4G Smartphone priced above Rs 10,000.
