Samsung had a tough last 30 days (give or take) as their latest phablet, the Galaxy Note 7 has been seen go on the flame (quite literally) as reported by a large number of users. The reason seemed to be the problem with the battery pack. Which is why Samsung announced global replacement program for the Note 7 users where it has been made available for sales such as US, UK, Australia and many other countries.
Today, the South Korean giant has a released a new update on their Global Replacement Program. DJ Koh, President of Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics states that last week the program began for the majority of markets. He also touts that progress is encouraging as the company has taken various measures to make it easier for them to replace the device.
Of course, all focus of Samsung is now to make sure that all affected devices are replaced as quickly and efficiently as it can be possible. According to the stats gathered by the company, the initial Galaxy Note 7 customer response has been strong. There are around 90 percent of Galaxy Note 7 users that have chosen to go for a new Galaxy Note 7 as the new model becomes widely available.
According to the statement released by the company, the United States and Korea alone has contributed to more than 60% of all recalled Galaxy Note 7 phones that have been exchanged through the program. The program that started on September 17 in Singapore has seen more than 80% of customers participate in the exchange program.
Koh believes that their customers are loyal to them and are taking the advantage their deserve for the replacement of the defective Note 7 with a new model that is claimed to be safe to use. It will allow users to feel confident and be excited to take out their Galaxy Note 7 device out for making calls and doing lots of things.
The new Phablet from the company has been banned from various places such as boarding a flight in different regions such as Australia. While Airport authorities in India related a statement regarding no recommendation to fly with a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 device. While Samsung didn’t need to worry about it’s India reputation as the device, haven’t gone on sale in the country.
