2017 Samsung Galaxy A3, A5, & A7 Smartphones to Come with IP68 Rating & 16MP Front Camera
Lately, we are seeing several leaks about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A3 2017, Galaxy A5 2017, and Galaxy A7 2017 smartphones. Just recently, the renders of all the three devices are leaked, and now we got some credible information about all these three devices. In December 2015, Samsung had officially launched the Galaxy A3 2016, A5 2016, and A7 2016 smartphones in China. In early 2016, the three devices are made available in most of the other markets including India. Now, we can expect the 2017 Galaxy A devices to be launched in China by the end of this month.
With the 2017 iteration of the Galaxy A devices, there will be no protruding camera on the rear. The devices come with a metal frame with a 3D curved glass on the rear and a 2.5D glass on the front. Surprisingly, all the upcoming Galaxy A devices will be coming with IP68 certification. The Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, and Note 7 smartphones launched in 2016 also came with the same IP68 certification. For comparison, the Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus sports IP67 certification. With the IP68 certification, the device can stay under water for 30 minutes and only upto 1.5 meters in depth.
More than the specifications, the company is bringing several new features. The MicroUSB 2.0 port will be now replaced with the USB Type-C. While the Galaxy A3 sports a non-removable 3,000mAh battery; the bigger Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017) comes with a 3,300mAh and 3,500mAh battery capacities respectively. The physical home button on the front will also come with fingerprint sensor integration. All the three devices will be supporting Samsung Pay in selected markets. The design looks close to the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge with rounded corners.
The power button and speaker can be found on the right edge of the device, while the volume rocker is placed on the right edge. Upcoming Galaxy A 2017 devices will be officially available in Black, Gold, Blue, and Peach color options. The loudspeaker is moved from the bottom edge of the device and on the rear is just a primary camera with LED flash. The Galaxy C9 Pro isn’t only the first 6GB RAM smartphone from Samsung but also features a 16MP sensor on the front and back of the device.
Now, the upcoming Galaxy A3 2017, A5 2017, and A7 2017 are also said to come with the same 16MP selfie cameras on the front. Though the benchmark listing showed the devices running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, by the time of official launch, we can expect the devices to run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details about the upcoming Galaxy A smartphones.
