Vivo Launches V5 Plus Smartphone with 20MP+8MP Dual Selfie Camera in India, Priced at ₹27,980

As we told you earlier that Vivo is all set to launch its dual selfie camera smartphone V5 Plus today in India. Finally, Chinese smartphone company today at an event in New Delhi launched Vivo V5 Plus smartphone officially. The company already listed the teaser of the smartphone on its official website before the launch. It is not the first smartphone with dual selfie camera that launched in India. Lenovo Vibe S1 was the first smartphone with the dual front camera launched in November 2015 in the country.

Talking about the specifications of the Vivo V5 Plus smartphone, it comes with 5.5-inch full HD display along with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. The screen has Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The smartphone comes with 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor along with 4GB RAM on board. There is Adreno 506 GPU as well for better graphics. V5 Plus runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Funtouch 3.0 operating system. We can expect that company will soon roll out latest Android Nougat update for this device. The Vivo V5 Plus comes with 64GB of internal storage.

The main feature of this device is its dual selfie camera. It comes with 20MP Sony IMX376 camera sensor at the front along with moonlight flash, f/2.0 aperture, and 5p lens. There is another front camera with an 8MP sensor for measuring depth in the images. With both these front camera, the background of selfie becomes blurred. This feature used to be only available in rear cameras previously. On the back side of the smartphone, there is 16MP rear camera along with LED flash, PDAF, and f/2.0 aperture.

On the connectivity front, this is a smartphone dual SIM smartphone with nano-SIM card support. It comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS. There is 3055mAh battery on board. The fingerprint sensor of the smartphone is embedded in the home button itself. It measures 152.8×74.00×7.26 mm and weighs around 158.6 grams. The Vivo V5 Plus is another addition in V series. The basic model Vivo V5 already on sale in India with a price tag of INR 17,999.
