Samsung has been in the rumors about the launch of the awaited Samsung Galaxy S7 Active. The smartphone has leaked online several times and was also recently spotted on GFXBench database revealing most of the important features. Today, the Galaxy S7 Active has again leaked online but this time giving a closer look at the upcoming device. As reported earlier, the Galaxy S7 Active will feature rugged body with military grade protection.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Active is the successor of last year’s Galaxy S6 Active, and comes with most of the specifications similar to its recent flagship Galaxy S7. It flaunts a 5.1-inch (2560×1440 pixels) 2K Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 laid on top for protection. Under the hood, the device will pack Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor clocked at 2.1GHz paired with Adreno 530 GPU. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based TouchWiz UI overlaid and supports dual sim dual standby.

It has 4GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in storage that can be further expanded to 128GB via an externalSD card slot. The inclusion of microSD card slot is one major upgrade, as the Galaxy S6 Active had skipped this feature. Like the Galaxy S7, the device will feature a 12MP rear camera with Dual Pixel sensor, f/1.7 aperture, dual-tone LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfie lovers. However, if compared with Galaxy S6 Active the camera on the Galaxy S7 Active is downgraded from 16MP to 12MP.  The smartphone is also dust and water resistant and also includes a fingerprint sensor for advanced security.

It includes connectivity options like 4G-LTE, VoLTE, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, GPS and microUSB 2.0 port. The handset will power massive 4000mAh battery and will also support Quick Charge 3.0 technology. It measures 9.9 mm thickness weighs 185 grams and will come in Black and Gold color options. Like the Galaxy S6 Active, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active will also be exclusive to AT&T and is expected to be unveiled on June 10th. Stay tuned for official confirmation in coming days.
