Just yesterday we got some information a new smartphone Sony called as Xperia E5. Today the company has officially revealed the first look of the device on its facebook page. The design looks similar to the recently newly launched Xperia X, Xperia XA, and Xperia X Performance. While the Xperia X series devices came with a fingerprint sensor embedded power button or the circular power button, but this Xperia E5 comes in normal plastic buttons, which hints the device to come with cheaper price tag.
We can expect it to be officially launched on June 5th since that is the date shown on mobile screen. It comes with a removable plastic back cover and it also supports NFC connectivity. The device comes powered by MediaTek MT6735 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. It packs 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot. The display of Xperia E5 is limited to just HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution.
It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Xperia UI out-of-the-box. In the camera department, the device features a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera. We can expect the device to be priced anywhere around $200. Recently the company also launched the new Xperia XA Ultra at a price of $430. It sports a 6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display and is powered by Helio P10 octa-core processor.
The device packs 3GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. It is backed by a 2,700mAh battery that might last at least a day of usage.
