OPPO F1 India Launch

As teased earlier, OPPO has launched the selfie smartphone called OPPO F1 under the all new F-series in India. The device was first unveiled in Vietnam and was later made available in few of the European markets. Though we at Phoneradar had exclusively reported it to be the same OPPO A53 that was launched in China, the company indeed opted for the same design as of OPPO A53 but with slightly different specifications.

It comes with an Aluminum build body and slim design  that gives a premium look to the device. The OPPO F1 features a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720) IPS display with scratch-proof 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4 on top. It is powered by 1.7GHz Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB of RAM. On the other hand, OPPO A53 came with a 5.5-inch display and powered by the same processor but with 2GB of RAM.

There is 16GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot for expanding upto 128GB.On the camera front, it has a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, and dual LED flash; and an 8MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture that can capture decent selfies even in low light conditions. The several filters under the beautify 3.0 feature in the camera app make your selfies look even better than ever. The ScreeFlash option brings the Retina Flash kind of experience by brightening the display while capturing selfies.

The device supports dual SIM dual standby and offers connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. It is backed by a 2,500mAh non-removable battery and supports VOOC fast charging option with the provided 5V/2A power adapter. The OPPO F1 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with customized ColorOS 2.1 overlaid. It measures 143.5 x 71 x 7.25 mm and weighs about 134 grams.

It will be available in Gold and Rose Gold color options and there is also an OPPO branded Selfie stick that will be sold separately with the device. The device can be purchased starting from February 4th across India via offline stores.
