Coolpad has launched two new 4G LTE smartphones Torino S & Porto S for the European markets. With the competitive specifications, both these devices can be good alternatives for the other devices at their respective price ranges. At the recently held CES 2016, the company has unveiled its news logo along with the flagship Coolpad Max smartphone.

The Torino S comes with a 2.5D 4.7-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with highly customized Cool UI 8.0. Under the hood, it is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz coupled with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB of RAM. There is 16GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot.
Coming to the camera department, it has an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the back that can unlock the device in just 0.5 seconds and can be used to capture photos in just 0.24 seconds. It also includes an IR sensor that can be used to control electronics like TV, AC, Refrigerator and others.
The device is limited to just 1,800mAh battery, which lacks the power to give a decent battery life. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers basic connectivity options. The device measures 139 x 67.8 x 7.9 mm and weighs 120 grams. It comes in White and Champagne colors. The Torino S is priced at EUR 199 and will be available through online and offline stores.
The second device from Coolpad is the Porto S that sports a slightly larger 5-inch HD IPS display compared to the 4.7-inch display on the Torino S. It comes powered by the MediaTek MT6735P quad-core processor clocked at 1GHz. It has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage that can be further expandable upto 64GB. There is an 8MP rear camera with f/2.4 aperture and LED flash and a 2MP selfie shooter on the front.
The device supports dual SIM’s with the help of hybrid SIM slot where you can add the MicroSD card instead of the second SIM. This device also runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Cool UI 8.0 overlaid. It is backed by a 2,000mAh battery that is rated to deliver 8 hours of talk time. It measures 143 x 72 x 7.6 mm and weighs 125 grams.
According to Coolpad, the Coolpad Porto S is priced at 129 Euros. The device will be made available in Germany and Switzerland before the end of this month and will expand it to other markets in the next few months.
