Meizu is on a smartphone launching spree this year. They have already launched a couple of smartphones this year, and more are rumoured to launch in coming weeks or months. The one which we will see early next month is the M3 Max. The company is expected to launch this phablet at an event on September 5th.
Until recently, we didn’t have much info about the device apart from the display size, which is expected to be of 6-inches. Now we have some more details about the device in detail. Firstly, the device is going to be powered by the Helio P20 processor. This is an Octa-Core processor based on 16nmFinFET architecture and has a clock frequency of 2.3 GHz. The device also has a Mali-T880 MP2 for graphics rendering. More information about the specs will follow soon.
Another interesting thing to note here is, the device will come in two variants with 32GB internal storage and a 64GB internal storage. It is reported that the 64GB variant will have support for mPen. So, this will be quite interesting to see, as this will be world’s first smartphone to be powered by an Helio P20 chipset and to come with mPen stylus support. It is expected that the device will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Flyme OS on top of it. As far as the pricing is concerned, the 32GB variant is expected to be priced at 1799 Yuan, and the 64GB variant with the mPen support will be priced at 1999 Yuan.
So let’s just wait and see what we get here for that pricing. Also, interestingly the company has sent the Nokia E71 Qwerty mobile phone along with the press invite. We also have some of the leaked images of the device, which you can check out for the detailed look on the device. Meizu also recently won the mBack Patent for multi-tasking home button after fighting for four years. Stay tuned to Phone Radar for more info on this device.
