Acer has announced a new tablet named Predator 8 (GT-810) at its press conference meet in Berlin during the IFA week. After announcing its first 4GB RAM smartphone, the Predator 6 in the ongoing event, the Taiwanese based company has announced an 8-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution display.
The new tablet by the company is powered by an Intel Atom x7 Cherry Trail processor with four front and back metal covers. The company has stated that the device would be rolled out to the market in October with pricing starting from 349 Euros. Though, it would be available in the United States on November 6th with a price tag of $300, whereas in China it would cost 2499 Yuan.
The Predator 8 is a made for gamers tablet, its quirky design and four front facing speakers would create a virtual surround sound for better gaming experience. The internal storage on the device is of 64GB, which should is quite impressive for a tablet of this price.
The device would be running on Android Lollipop, and from what we see in the images shared by company, the device would offer a stock experience with a lot less customization options, which is a good thing.
The connectivity features are 2×2 MIMO wireless technology and Wi-FI 802.11 a/b/g/n. The storage expansion can be done using microSD card up to 128GB, which is certainly a plus point for the device.
It is the combination of features like sharp display, front quad Dolby Audio enabled speakers, and vibration feedback makes it stand out in crowd of tablets. And thus, proves that it is potentially a good gaming device.
The company is offering 320,000 game credits for Asphalt 8, which is equivalent to around $50. The Predator 8 is slated to arrive in November at NewEgg retail for 2 weeks, with wider availability later.
