ZTE AXON MINI

ZTE is one of the Chinese smartphone brands which also had some good market share in foreign countries. The company had earlier launched two new smartphones Axon Mini and Blade V6 in China. Both these two smartphones are now launched in India. The devices are first unveiled at the MWC 2016 for the global markets. The ZTE Blade V6 is priced at Rs. 9,999 and the high-end Axon Mini costs Rs. 23,599.

Speaking on the occasion; Cao Kai, CEO of ZTE Device India, said,

At ZTE we are deeply committed to bring world-class technology and user-oriented design to the market in India. We believe that there is untapped potential in this market, which makes it a key driver for our Asia Pacific strategy. The launch of this range of phones in India signals the strengthening of our consumer offering in the market. We are sure with its superior design and best in class technology at competitive pricing, it will help ZTE to further cement our place in this burgeoning market

ZTE Blade V6

The Blade V6 from ZTE is aimed at the user who looks for premium looking smartphone at sub Rs. 10,000 price range. It comes with a metal body and a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display on the front. It is powered by the MediaTek MT6735 SoC clocked at 1.3GHz and coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. It is equipped with a 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, and a 22oomAh battery. The device still runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with customized UI laid on top. It supports dual SIM and offers 4G LTE connectivity.

Axon Mini

The Axon Mini was first unveiled in July 2015 in China and now in July 2016, it is launched in India. It is world’s first the smartphone with a force touch display, but there are no innovative functions as on the 3D Touch of iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. It sports a 5.2-inch Full HD AMOLED display and but houses the Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor that makes the device feel like a heater. It includes 3GB of RAM and 32 of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion.

In the camera department, it comes with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The device is kept powered on by a 2800mAh battery that might last at least a day of usage. Though the device comes with force touch display, we feel the device is a bit over priced considering the Xiaomi Mi 5 and OnePlus 3 are priced at Rs. 24,999 and 27,999 respectively.
