Comparison of Xperia XA and XA Ultra

XA ultra vs XA

Earlier: Sony had introduced three smartphones under the new Xperia X series at MWC 2016. The Xperia X, XA, and X Performance are three smartphones, and now the company added one more device to the list, the Xperia XA Ultra. While all the earlier launched devices came with a 5-inch display, the new Xperia XA Ultra sports a 6-inch display. The HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution on Xperia XA is bumped up to Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) on Xperia XA Ultra.

Under the hood is the same Helio P10 octa-core processor but the RAM is increased from 2GB to 3GB. It has 16GB of internal storage that can be further expanded upto a maximum of 200GB. The major changes can be found in the camera department; it sports a 21.5MP rear camera with hybrid autofocus and a whopping 16MP camera along with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) on the front. Both the front and rear cameras are accompanied with LED flash.

Though the device comes in 6-inch form factor, it packs only a 2,700mAh battery. The Xperia X Performance sporting a 5-inch display also came with the same the battery capacity. Using the provided quick charger, the device can give 5.5-hours id battery life with just 10 minutes of charging. It comes in Single SIM and Dual SIM variants with 4G support. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/A-GPS, NFC, MicroUSB 2.0 port along with 4G LTE.

Like the other Xperia X devices, the Xperia XA Ultra also runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. The circular home button along with the volume rocker and dedicated shutter button are placed on the right edge of the device. It measures 164.2 x 79.4 x 8.4 mm and weighs 190 grams. The device will be available in Black, White, and Lime Gold colors. As of now there is no information about the pricing of the device. It will be made available in selected countries starting from July.
