ZTE Nubia Z9 Max and Z9 Mini officially announced with 16MP cameras, 2900 mAh battery

ZTE, at a press conference in Beijing, China, has announced the much leaked smartphones, the Nubia Z9 Max and the Z9 Mini. While the two come with different screen sizes, the screen resolution is the same, at 1920×1080 pixels.
The larger flagship, i.e. ZTE Nubia Z9 Max has a 5.5-inch display, and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded with a MicroSD card slot. The 7.9mm thick device packs in a 2900 mAh battery, and the phone weighs 165gm. The camera is the same as in the Z9 Mini, thus read below for the details.
The Nubia Z9 Mini with a 5-inch display comes with a Snapdragon 615 processor, along with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, along with a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion. Interestingly, although the smaller size and being just a bit thicker than Z9 Max, at 8.2mm, the device has the same 2900 mAh battery.
What’s similar in both, the Nubia Z9 Max and Z9 Mini
- The camera on both the devices is the same – a 16-megapixel camera on the back with a F/2.0 aperture, and the camera is capable of recording 4K videos.
- On the front, we see an 8-megapixel camera for selfies, on both the smartphones.
- The phones will run Android 5.0.2 out of the box, with Nubia UI launcher, v2.8.
- Both these will have 4G LTE connectivity, among the other connectivity options.
The ZTE Nubia Z9 Max and Mini come with a metal frame wrapped on the sides, and while the Z9 Max has a glass back that cannot be removed or replaced, the Z9 Mini offers the users with a dotted pattern on the back, which is made of plastic, and there are several back cover options for the users, including bamboo and denim finishes.
The price of Nubia Z9 Mini is CNY1,499, while the price for Z9 Max is CNY2,499.
