Xiaomi had launched its latest mid-range smartphone Redmi Note 3 along with the Mi Pad 2 tablet yesterday at its Grand Finale event. ZTE, another Chinese manufacturer, had also unveiled a new device called ‘ZTE Blade X6’ (aka Small Fresh 3) which is the successor for ZTE Blade X5. Compared to the Redmi Note 3, it is priced slightly on the higher side and even the specifications aren’t that impressive.
While the basic variant of Redmi Note 3 with 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage is priced at 899 Yuan (approx $140 / Rs. 9,500), the ZTE Blade X6 comes priced at 990 Yuan (approx $155 / Rs. 10,000). It sports a 5-inch HD display and is powered by the quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor. The device has 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage that can be expandable via MicroSD card slot.
It has a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and an 8MP selfie camera on the front, both the cameras are accompanied by LED flash. The device comes with dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE connectivity. Like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, this device also comes with metal body with curved edges.
On the rear of the device, we can find the ZTE 2.0 fingerprint sensor wich comes additional functionalities than just unlocking the device. The sensor can be used as a shutter button for capturing images. The ‘Fresh Key’ function of the fingerprint sensor can give shortcut functions like switching ON the flashlight and locking specific apps.
The Blade X6 will be available in the Gold, Space Grey, and Rose Gold colors. The 2800mAh battery on this device also comes with fast charging. It runs on Andriod 5.1 Lollipop with MiFavor 3.2 UI overlaid. Connectivity options on this devices include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0.
It will be available in stock starting from December 4th with a price tag of 990 Yuan. But the Redmi Note 3 will be a good alternative considering its lower price tag and much better specification compared to ZTE Blade X6.
