ZTE Blade V7 and V7 Lite Mid-range Metal Smartphones Announced

ZTE, the Chinese mobile giant with a good presence in European market has launched their new handsets in the Blade series. The smartphones V7 and V7 Lite are the mid-range devices from the company and are made out of metal. Designed for young audience, both the smartphones come with Android Marshmallow installed on top of custom skin.

The Blade V7 is going to come with a 5.2-inch 1080p display that would be covered by the curved edge glass, giving it a premium look and protection. The device would be coming up with a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage; it would be powered by an Octa-core MediaTek chipset. The MT6753 chipset has eight Cortex-A53 cores clocking at 1.5GHz, it will have the support of Mali-T720 GPU. It would be running on the Android Marshmallow 6.0 and would see some pre-installed apps and different UI look.

The mid-range smartphone would pack 13-megapixel image sensor with dual-tone Flash on the rear side, while it would sport 5-megapixel image sensor on the front. With metal body and curves, company is able to offer 3.5mm thickness at its thinnest point, varying from 7.5mm; only couple of mid ranges handset can boasts such design aesthetics. All this would be powered by a 2500mAh capacity battery, which should make for good battery life. The handset would be available for sale in countries like German, Spain, South Africa, Ethiopia and Mexico by this year’s summer.

The Blade V7 Lite on the other hand sports a smaller 5-inch 720p display, the handset is said to be design in Germany with metal body. On the back side of the device, it features a fingerprint sensor for biometric security. Similar to the bigger sibling, Blade V7, it runs on the Android Marshmallow 6.0 OS with custom skin installed by company. Under the hood is the Quad-core MediaTek Chipset with Eight cortex A53 cores. The MT6735P chipset is supported by Mali-T720 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The internal storage on this thing is of 16GB, which can be expanded via microSD card slot.

The camera package on the Lite version has 8-megapixel sensor on the rear and front with both having LED Flash support and Autofocus features. In terms of the connectivity, it has 4G LTE network support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and microUSB port. All this is powered by a 2500mAh capacity battery. The handset is first scheduled to go on sale in Russia, which is its premier market in Europe, further, it will expand to Germany and Spain, as well as outside Europe in countries like Mexico and Thailand, sometime in spring. The pricing and exact availability dates for both handsets are yet to be announced. Stay tuned for more updates on this later when the information pops up.
