Sony has Introduced new Xperia X Series Line-up at MWC 2016

Sony has revealed their new Xperia handsets, the X Series, at the MWC stage in Barcelona; it’s a mid-range smartphone with MediaTek Helio P10 processor, which is the world’s first chipset to use the 28nm process. The true Octa-core processor clocks at 2GHz with and support 4G LTE cat 6. The Xperia X Series comprises of three handsets; X, X Performance and XA. They run on the latest Android Marshmallow 6.0 with custom UI. It sports a 5-inch Full HD display and has a 23MP rear camera and 13MP front facing camera. It sports a 2600mAh capacity battery.
The low-end variant, Xperia XA is the one sporting Helio P10, MediaTek 6755 chipset, while supporting it is a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The display is of 5-inch with 720p resolution. In the camera department, it has a 13-megapixel Sony Exmor RS having 1.3’’ size, while the selfie camera is of 8-megapixel resolution. It has a support of microSD card to expand storage space. Measuring 137 grams and 7.9 in thickness it would be competing other low end handset from the likes of Lenovo, Huawei and Xiaomi. All this is powered by a 2300mAh battery. The device is water resistant as it sports a metal unibody design.
The High-end model, Xperia X Performance comes with Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 820, which is a 64-bit Quad-core processor. This handset sports a Full HD curved display and has a premium metal finish to it. Sporting 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 200GB via microSD card, it would come in two variants, Single SIM and Dual SIM.
Running on the latest Android Marshmallow 6.0 OS with custom skin design by Sony, it would be coming in four color finishes; White, Graphite Black, Lime Gold and Rose Gold. The camera department has 23MP rear camera with predictive hybrid Autofocus and ½.3” Exmor RS sensor. The selfie camera is of 13-megapixel resolution sporting 22m wide angle lens. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi and GPS to name a few.
The Xperia X would be coming up with full HD 5-inch display and would sport similar camera setup like the Xperia X Performance. Though, it would have Snapdragon 650 chipset, which can be found on the Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 3 handset as well. The RAM of the device is at 3GB, while internal storage is at 32GB. You can expand the storage up to 200GB via microSD card slot. It would be running on the Android Marshmallow 6.0. It would have battery capacity of 2620mAh.
