Earlier this week, we have seen an entry-level smartphone ZTE Blade D2 launched in Vietnam and Thailand that comes packed with a 4,000mAh battery. Now ZTE has yet launched another new smartphone ZTE Blade V580 and this time it’s for the Japanese market. Unlike the Blade D2, this comes with much better specifications and more than doubled price tag when compared to Blade D2. It is priced at JPY 27,800 (approx $245 / Rs. 16,400) and is currently available for pre-orders while the actual sale begins from March 25th.
The Blade V580 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display and is powered by 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor. It has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage that can be further expanded additional upto 32GB. The device also supports dual SIM with hybrid SIM slot where yu can place the MicroSD card instead of the second SIM. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop without any customized UI like in China.
It is also equipped with a fingerprint sensor on the back that can make the Blade V580 a bit more secure. According to the company, the fingerprint sensor on this device can be used to lock specific apps and can be used to capture photos while in the Camera app. On the camera part, there is a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The device is backed by a 3,000mAh battery that can give 30 hours of talk time and lasts upto 600 hours on standby.
The Aluminum body with the rounded edges and a slightly curved back gives a nice grip to hold on to the device. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0. It measures 155.3 x 77.2 x 8.6 mm and weighs 165 grams. The device comes with Silver and Grey color options. The same Blade V580 was launched three ago in Mexico where the Gold color variant is also made available.
