YuFit Fitness Band with Calorie counter launched in India for INR 999

Yu Televentures, a company, founded by Mr. Rahul Sharma of Micromax Mobile, has announced their first fitness band. The YuFit Band comes along with YUFIT app, which according to the company, is the first calorie counter in India. It helps in food tracking, fitness tracking, and weight tracking. Entering the food details will convert it to calorie count.

There is group coaching, challenges, social-fitness networks and achievements for like-minded users who want to network and take advantage of it. Dedicated coaches are available on call. For the first 1000 users of the YuFit band, there will be a free personal trainer.

The smartband features an OLED display that would show the steps, sleeping patterns a well as alert you about the incoming calls and messages. The data is synced with the proprietary app called YuFit app, which is work with HealthifyMe service, recently acquired by Micromax. It would collect the data from band and display on the smartphone as well., where it would suggest you on the basis of your health data.

Moreover, the massive plus point to this app is that it includes large number of Indian dishes that are not present in the most of the fitness apps currently available in the market right now. All this would be available at a incredibly aggressive pricing of INR 999, allowing the first true Indian smartband to compete with the likes of Xiaomi Mi Band, which is also priced at INR 999, but doesn’t sport a display.

YU CEO and Founder, Rahul Sharma gave a demo of this product and said that all the data taken by this device would be stored on a cloud with the help of Yu Fit app. It is also aggressively priced at INR 4999. Both of these devices would be available to purchase on Amazon Indian’s website. The first 1000 customers of the YuFit band would also get a personal coach for free of cost.
