Xiaomi’s Upcoming Smartphone with 48MP Rear Camera to Sport In-display Front Camera

Just last week, Xiaomi confirmed that it is going to launch a smartphone with a 48MP rear camera in January 2019, and now there are reports that the handset will also be coming with a triple rear camera set up along with a punch-hole Display indicating an in-display selfie camera. Well, we have seen Samsung launching its Galaxy A8s smartphone with infinity display and Huawei is in line to bring its Nova 4 smartphone in the market with a punch hole display camera on the top left corner.

Furthermore, the reports say that the device will be coming with a 48MP sensor as confirmed by the President of the company Lin Bin and said it will come in January 2019. There are speculations that the smartphone will be released in the Red series since the official Redmi Social handle has shared the initial announcement. Moreover, the device is expected to be coming with an LCD unit which is made by BOE, China.

According to a few more reports, the upcoming device will be sporting a 48MP + 13MP + 16MP camera on the rear but nothing is known about the front camera as of now. Since nothing is known about the device and considering the camera sensors, we can expect the handset to be a top-end device and might be sporting 6GB RAM to 10GB RAM with a high-end processor and also with a big battery and support for a quick charge.

We do not have any confirmed information on the device as of now except for the 48MP camera and the launch period. As rest of the specs are just speculation, we need to take them with a pinch of salt and wait for few more week until we hear from the company officially.
