Xiaomi’s Mi 9T with Snapdragon 730 SoC & 20MP Pop-up Camera Launched at €329
Xiaomi China has unveiled its latest flagships smartphones – the Redmi K20 and the K20 Pro in the country. These affordable flagships are confirmed to be coming to India next month, as the Global VP of Xiaomi, Manu Kumar has confirmed earlier. However, the Chinese manufacturer has teased earlier have rebranded the Redmi K20 as Mi 9T for global markets and had launched the same today at an event held in Spain. Along with the Mi 9T, the company had introduced its other products into the European markets that include – the new Mi Smart Band 4, Mi Electric Scooter Pro and the recently unveiled Mi True Wireless Earphones as well.
As for the Mi 9T smartphone is concerned, the device features a 6.39-inch FullHD+ AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, which further comes with Crystal 2.5D and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood, the Mi 9T is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730 SoC paired with Adreno 618 GPU. The device features in multiple storage variants that include 6GM RAM and 64GB internal storage variant and a 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The Mi 9T further comes with Game Turbo 2.0 for the more enhanced gaming experience.
In terms of optics, the Mi 9T comes with triple rear cameras comprising of a 48MP primary sensor with f/1.75 aperture paired with an 8MP with f/2.4 aperture telephoto lens and an ultra-wide 13MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.4. The rear cameras are capable of capturing 2x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom images. These rear cameras are said to be AI-powered and come with lots of features like Burst mode, Professional mode, AI High-resolution mode, Ai Studio lighting mode, and more such features. Up front, the Mi 9T features a 20MP pop-up selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.2. The front camera is also AI-powered with features like AI Portrait mode and AI Scene detection mode and so on.
The Mi 9T comes as a successor to the Mi 9 smartphone launched early in March. The new 9T is said to be an incremental update for the predecessor. The Mi 9T is kept alive by a 4000mAh battery that comes with 18W charring support. The design of the Mi 9T looks impressive with the multi-gradient finish, and the device is said to be shipping with Android 9.0 Pie base MIUI 10 out-of-the-box. For connectivity, the Mi 9T sports a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type C, dual nano sim support, and Bluetooth 5.0. And, lastly, for authentication, the Mi 9T comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
As for the pricing, the Mi 9T has been launched at 329 (Rs 25,900 approx) Euros for the 6GB+64GB variant and 369 Euros (Rs 29,000 approx) for the larger 6GB+128GB variant. The Mi 9T is said to be available in Carbon Black, Red flame, Glacier Blue color varaints. The other products that were launched at the event, which include the recently launched Mi Band 4 priced at 34.99 Euros (Rs 2,800 approx), the Mi Electric Scooter Pro is priced at 499.99 Euros (Rs 39,300 approx), and lastly, the Mi True Wireless Earphones are priced at 79.99 Euros (Rs 6,300 approx).
