Xiaomi to Launch Black Shark 2 Gaming Smartphone on October 23rd

Last week we have seen news about Xiaomi’s Black Shark Gaming smartphone global variant to be made available soon. And now the latest news is that the successor of this device – Black Shark 2 is going to make it to the market on 23rd of October. Yes, you read it right, there is a poster that has been leaked online which claims the device to be launched next week. Nothing about the pricing or the specs have been confirmed in the new leaked teaser but we already have the specs of the upcoming device, thanks to the recent TENAA listing.
According to the listing, the device will be coming the model number AWM-A0 and will be sporting a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with 1080 x 2160 resolutions and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Moreover, the display is optimized with color gamut of up to 97 percent and also with DCI-P3. The handset will be powered with a big 4,000 mAh battery as all the gaming smartphones but not sure if it would support the latest fast charging technology which should be revealed soon.
Out of the box, it will come with Android Pre-installed and will be powered with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. The Black Shark 2 is said to be having the liquid cooling technology as we have seen with other gaming smartphones and it might come with 8GB of RAM. The listing also showcased vertical dual rear camera setup on the rear and is expected to come with a fingerprint sensor.
The upcoming device will be measuring 160 mm x 75.26 mm x 8.7 mm and we will be knowing more about the device in the coming days. The predecessor of the Black Shark 2 was priced at CNY 2,999 (approx Rs. 32,000) in China for the 6GB RAM variant while the bigger 8GB variant was priced at CNY 3,499 (approx Rs. 37,000).
