In North America, Xiaomi currently sells its smartphones only in Mexico. While the Chinese startup always showed interest in expanding to the U.S, it never looked ready for stepping in. However, the company is now focusing on expanding patent portfolio which will be beneficial for the future expansions. Xiaomi has recently entered the Spanish smartphone market and will be entering Italy in early 2018.
Coming to the U.S market, the company has limited its product portfolio only to less than a dozen products. Last year, it had launched the Android-based Mi TV box along with Mi power bank and Mi fitness band. Now, the company came up with a couple of gadgets along with smartphone accessories. The company is also offering 12 months of manufacturer warranty on all these products.
Below is the of all the new Xiaomi products launched in the U.S.
|Mi In-ear Headphones||$25.99|
|Mi Power Bank 10000mAh||$29.99|
|Mi Sphere Camera||$299.99|
|Mi Bunny Robot Builder||$139.99|
A few of the newly launched products are already available on Amazon.com via unofficial resellers. As of now, only the Mi Bunny Robot Builder is in stock on Amazon. All the other four products will go on sale starting November 24th in the U.S. Out of all these new Mi products, the company only sells the power banks and headphones in India. The 360-degree Mi Sphere Camera and Mi Bunny Robot Builder are yet to be launched.
If everything goes good, then the company might soon sell other smart gadgets that are now only limited to the Chinese market. Xiaomi also sells IoT products in China and they cost much lesser than the western alternatives. Talking about the smartphones, the company should also get carriers onboard to sell its Mi smartphones. The U.S market is also key for the companies growth in international markets.
