Xiaomi’s Smart Amazfit Shoes come with New Fitness Tracker & Goodyear Outsole
Xiaomi has already launched two pairs of fitness-centric shoes in China. While the company partnered with China-based Li-Ning to launch its first pair of fitness shoes, the second pair came from its sub-brand Mijia. Now, its another sub-brand Amazfit launched a new pair of outdoor shoes. These new Amazfit shoes are priced at just 199 Yuan (approx $32 /Rs. 2,100) and are mentioned to be highly shock-absorbing, non-slip, breathable, and water-proof. The shoes are available in Black, Gray, Orange, Green, and Rose Gold.
The company is using the breathable insole and Goodyear outsole for these new outdoor shoes. These shoes come with ERC (elastic responsive cushioning) material which can enhance the shock absorption of the insole. Talking about the outsole, the Goodyear material can withstand even most harder terrains offering better grip. Coming to the fitness part, the Amazfit shoes come with the second-gen fitness tracker. However, the new fitness tracker has to be purchased separately.
Once synced with the Mi Fit app on your smartphone, the user can get to know the fitness data like steps count, distance traveled, and calories burnt. Compared to the earlier trackers used in the earlier launched shoes, this new second-gen fitness tracker is said to give more accurate data. While there is no word on the pricing, it will be available from May 30th. The product is currently listed on Xiaomi’s crowdfunding platform.
