Earlier this month, Xiaomi introduced the new Mi CC series to launch the camera-centric smartphones using Meitu’s patented technologies. While we have seen leaks about the Mi CC 9 and Mi CC 9e smartphones, the company officially confirmed to launch the Mi CC 9 and Mi CC 9 Meitu Edition smartphones. Today, Xiaomi revealed the official first look of the Mi CC 9 smartphone. It comes in White color option with a gradient finish.
The device sports 3D curved glass on the rear and a metal frame. As rumors suggested, there is no fingerprint scanner on the rear. As seen on other high-end Xiaomi smartphones, the Mi CC 9 will be coming with an in-display fingerprint scanner on the front. Both the power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge. The 48MP triple camera setup along with LED flash are placed on the top left corner on the rear.
On the top edge, we can spot the secondary microphone and infrared sensor. Since there is no clear view, both of them could also be the 3.5mm audio jack and the SIM card slot. On the bottom edge, the device sports USB Type-C port, loudspeaker, and .primary microphone. Under the hood, the device will mostly come powered by the newly launched 8nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 Mobile Platform coupled with Kryo 470 CPU and Adreno 618 GPU.
Talking about the other specifications, the Mi CC 9 might be coming with an AMOLED display with a waterdorp notch on the top. Just yesterday, the company has confirmed the device to sport 48MP triple cameras on the rear and a 32MP single selfie on the front. The device will be running on Android 9.0 Pie based MIUI 10 out of the box. However, the MI CC smartphones will have a few custom features which aren’t available on other MIUI-powered smartphones.
The company also revealed the boot animation of the Mi CC smartphone which looks completely different from the MIUI boot animation seen on other Xiaomi smartphones. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
