A few weeks back, Redmi’s General Manager Lu Weibing has confirmed that the company will be launching a flagship phone with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 chipset. The information was shared by the companies Product Director, Wang Teng Thomas official Weibo account which was deleted later. The upcoming device was placed on the table which showcased that the device will be coming with a 3.5mm audio jack. It will also be sporting a pop-up selfie camera and considering this we should be getting a notch less display.
According to a few rumors the device will be debuting outside China as Poco F2 while it is also expected to be the cheapest phone which will be powered by SD 855 processor. Not long ago, the companies CEO Lei Jun was also spotted with an alleged Redmi SD855 smartphone and now in the latest post also the companies co-founder Lin Bin was seen along with the device.
The General Manager also confirmed that the device will be coming with a 3.5mm audio jack and according to few rumors, it is said that the device could go official in the next month and as said earlier it would be made available for affordable price. As of now, there is no information about the specs of the handset and we should be getting a few more leaks in the coming days before the handset becomes official.
Recently we have also seen a leaked video that revealed a new device with triple rear cameras along with a punch-hole display and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. This clearly indicates that Xiaomi has been working on more than one device and recently the Redmi Y3 phone was also teased in India by Manu Kumar Jain flaunting its 32MP selfie camera which could be launched soon.
