Recently, Xiaomi launched the Redmi 6, Redmi 6A, and Redmi 6 Pro smartphones in India. While there is no word about the launch of Redmi Note 6 and Redmi Note 6 Pro smartphones, the Redmi Note 6 Pro is already on sale in few Asian markets. Almost a few weeks after the device leaked in several unboxing videos, Xiaomi today launched the Redmi Note 6 Pro in Thailand. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro is a mere upgrade to its predecessor.
It comes in Black, Blue, and Rose Gold color options. The Redmi Note 6 Pro with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage is priced at THB 6,990 (approx USD 215 / INR 15,599). The Redmi Note 6 Pro will be the costliest Redmi smartphone ever launched. While the Redmi Note 5 Pro came with notch-less 18:9 display, the new Redmi Note 6 Pro sports notch display with 19:9 aspect ratio.
The device comes with a 6.26-inch IPS display with Full HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) resolution and Gorilla Glass protection. It is said to offer 86% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the device comes powered by the same 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Mobile Platform that also powers the Redmi Note 5 Pro. It packs Kryo 260 CPU and Adreno 509 GPU. The Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with MIUI 9.6 on top. Talking about the dual rear cameras, the device sports 12MP primary sensor with f/1.9 aperture and a 5MP secondary sensor. For selfies, there are 20MP + 2MP dual front cameras with f/2.0 aperture. The device supports AI scene detection, EIS, AI Beautify 4.0, and AI Portrait 2.0. It is backed by a 4,000mAh battery non-removable battery.
