Earlier this year, Xiaomi launched its Redmi Note 5 along with Note 5 Pro smartphones in India. Now the latest news is that the Xiaomi is planning to bring its Redmi 6 and Redmi 6 Pro smartphone into the country as we have already seen Redmi Note 6 Pro getting announced in Thailand last month. Generally, the company take 10-12 months to announce the successor of a smartphone but this time its little over six months from the launch of Note 5. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro is expected to be announced in Blue, Black, and Rose Gold color variants and could be priced around Rs. 14,999.
Ishan Agarwal tweeted that Xiaomi is planning to launch a new device is the country next month and it could be somewhere around the eve of Diwali. He also tweeted that Colour and storage variant leaks are going to come soon. Coming to the specs of the Redmi Note 6 Pro, the device is going to sport a 6.26-inch (2280×1080 pixels) Full HD+ Display with 19:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass on top. Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 636 SoC with 1.8GHz clocking speed and eight cores accompanied with Adreno 509 GPU.
There is 4GB of RAM storage and 64GB of onboard storage which could be extended further up to 128GB via microSD card. Out of the box, it will come with the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with MIUI on top. There is a 12MP mean camera sensor on the rear with dual-tone LED flash and it will be accompanied with a 5MP secondary rear camera. For selfies, there is a 20MP front-facing camera with Sony IMX376 sensor along with a secondary 2MP camera.
There is a fingerprint scanner on the device along with an Infrared sensor. There is a 4000mAh battery on the device and has Bluetooth v5.0 support along with 4G VoLTE connectivity.
