Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G is slow? How to Speed up for Better Performance in 7 Minutes

Published

on

Xiaomi has surprised the smartphone industry with its low budget phones which come with high specifications. Redmi Note 4G is such a device with a 5.5-inch display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. After this launch, it has released other smartphones like Redmi Note Prime, Redmi Note 2, etc. into the market and every device has been a success.

Redmi Note 4G users reported that there were few performance issues in the device, and so we are here resolve them using simple settings and modifications.

Disable Animations

The easiest thing you can do to increase the performance level of your device is to disable or reduce the animations. You can find these options under ‘Developer Options’, and for that, you need to tap few times on the MIUI version in ‘About Phone’ under settings. By tapping few times, you will enable the ‘Developer Options’ which can be seen in the ‘Additional Settings.’

Now scroll down to Window animation scale and disable it or reduce the point to 0.5X. You can see the change in the performance now, and you can alter these animation settings at any time.

Get in touch with new Software Updates

Xiaomi releases MIUI updates on time to its users, and so Redmi Note 4G users should check for the updates under the ‘About Phone > System Updates.’ If at all there are any updates available, then download and install them which in turn fix minor bugs in your device and help to optimize the device.

Remove Cache From Apps

Every time you use a particular app, the background of the app stores cache in its memory. As the cache storage increases, it has an effect on the storage space on the device and at the same time on the performance. So, it is always advisable to clear the cache of each app from app manager.

Wipe Cache Partition and Factory Data Reset

You need to turn on your phone into recovery mode to access the wipe cache partition. Follow your device manual to get into the recovery mode and select the Wipe Cache Partition. Select Reboot system now after the partition process is completed. Now, your device will perform better than before, and you can see the difference by yourself.

You can also have ‘Factory Data Reset’ option in the recovery mode which will erase all the data from your phone and makes it a new device. Other than recovery mode, you can also find this option under ‘Additional Settings >Backup & Reset’. But, before proceeding to ‘Factory Data Reset’, make sure to take the backup of your data.

Uninstall Unnecessary Apps

Android users usually fill up their phones with several apps, out of which few are unnecessary. Those useless apps occupy space and also affect the battery charge, and as a result, decrease the performance of the device too. So, find out such apps and uninstall them from the app manager. Also, there will be few pre-installed apps in the device which also need to be uninstalled to get a better performance of the device.

Few other tips

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G users should note that they need to perform few minor things to increase the performance of their device. Always turn off the WiFi and Bluetooth connections whenever they are not in use. Also, clear the apps cache regularly and use only original charges for charging the device. Use simple wallpapers and don’t overload the phone with useless apps.

If you are facing any performance issue with your Redmi Note 4G mobile, then feel free to mention it in the comments section below as we try to resolve the issue.
