Xiaomi Redmi 4 & Redmi Note 4 Listed on TENAA, to Launch on August 25th

Xiaomi had sold only 70 million devices in 2015 while the company targetted 100 million sales; but in 2016, the company had launched a quite a few best-selling smartphones. As Xiaomi CEO mentioned, the company will be launching five new smartphones in the second half of 2016. Recently it launched Redmi Pro, Xiaomi’s first smartphone with dual camera setup and also OLED display. While the Mi Note 2 and Mi 5S are rumoured to launch by the end of this year, there are also leaks about the upcoming Redmi devices – Redmi 4 and Redmi 4 Note.

The Redmi 3 Note has been a huge hit in India whereas the Redmi 3 is only limited to China till date. But the company launched the Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime smartphones earlier this month. Now two new devices with the model numbers 2016060 and 2016050 are listed on TENAA and are expected to be the Redmi 4 and Redmi 4 Note smartphones. While Xiaomi upgrades the Redmi lineup once in a year, from now on we might see new Xiaomi Redmi device once in every six months.

Yesterday we reported about the Redmi 4 specifications along with the images. The specifications of device 2016060 are similar to what we mentioned yesterday. The Redmi 4 comes with a 5-inch Full HD display and an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. This will be the Snapdragon 625 chipset as we mentioned earlier. While the listed device comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage, there will also be a 2GB variant with 16GB of storage. It sports a 13MP rear camera, and a 5MP selfies camera on the front.

The device is backed by a 4,000mAh battery as seen on the Redmi 3 series devices. It measures 141.3 x 69.6 x 8.9 mm and weighs 160 grams. On the other hand, the Redmi 4 Note sports a 5.5-inch display with the same Full HD resolution. It is powered by Helio X20 deca-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. While the 2GB RAM variant comes with 16GB of storage, the 3GB RAM variant includes 64GB of storage. Rest of the specifications remains same as on the Redmi 4.

The Redmi 4 Note measures 151 x 76.3 x 8.54 mm and weighs 176.54 grams. Both the devices support dual SIM dual standby and offer 4G LTE connectivity along with VoLTE. Though there are no images on TENAA, the leaked images suggest the devices to come with metal build body. The Redmi 4 and Redmi 4 Note are expected to launch on August 25th in Beijing, China.
