Xiaomi Re-launching the POCO F1 in China as Mi Play Smartphone

According to some sources, Xiaomi POCO F1 smartphone is said to be launched in China as Mi Play on 20th of December or 24th of December. All though this news has not been officially confirmed, this could be the Global version of the Poco F1 which was launched in India as the most affordable device with Snapdragon 845 Chipset.

Recently, Xiaomi also confirmed its upcoming smartphone with a 48MP camera will be showcased in January 2019 and later few reports suggested that the handset will be sporting a triple rear camera setup and also the punch-hole camera display on the front. It is also said that the 48MP camera phone will be having an LCD unit made by BOE China.

The Poco F1 smartphone comes with a 6.18-inch FHD+ Display and is powered with the Snapdragon 845 chipset as mentioned earlier. There is a 12MP main camera sensor which is accompanied with a 5MP secondary camera which also supports AI based features. On the front, we can find a 20MP camera with soft LED flash and it will be powered with a 4000mAh Battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge support.

Xiaomi recently announced that the Poco F1 smartphone has crossed 700k users in India and has made a permanent price cut of Rs. 1000 in the country across its all variants and it will be available for a starting price of Rs, 19,999. The handset is available in 6GB / 64GB variant, 6GB / 128GB variant and also in 8GB / 256GB variant and there is also an Armoured Edition of the same.

The device was launched with Android 8.1 Oreo OS which is based on MIUI 9.6 and customized Poco launcher and also got the MIUI 10 update recently as it was promised by the company. Well, we need to wait for few more days for the China launch of the Mi Play smartphone and the 48MP camera phone can also be showcased on 24th of December, where Xiaomi has scheduled an event.
