Xiaomi has already confirmed to launch its latest budget smartphone Redmi Y3 in India on April 24th. It will be coming with a waterdrop notch display on the front featuring a 32MP selfie camera. Now, the company’s latest post also hints it to make a few surprise announcements on the same day. We clearly see the company is highlighting the number 7 in its latest tweet. Since the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro smartphones are already available in the Indian market, we expect them to launch the Redmi 7. The low-cost Redmi 7 smartphone was unveiled just last month in China.

It comes with a glossy finish body with gradient color options. Just like the Redmi Y3, the Redmi 7 also sports waterdrop notch display. It comes with a 6.26-inch IPS display with HD+ (1520 × 720 pixels) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. On the top, it comes with a 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. In China, the Redmi 7 was launched with the powerful 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 Mobile Platform. It came in 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB RAM variants and offers up to 64GB of onboard storage. There will also be a dedicated MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage.

Talking about the cameras, the Redmi 7 sports 12MP + 2MP dual rear cameras with f/2.2 aperture and 8MP single front camera for selfies. It is backed by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery and will come with a 5V/2A power adapter. The device runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie-based MIUI 10 out of the box. It also comes with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner and support face unlock. The device also has P2i nano-coating which makes it splash proof. In China, the Redmi 7 was retailing for as low as CNY 699 (approx INR 7,250). Stay tuned on Phone Radar for the pricing and availability of the Redmi 7 smartphone!
