The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi just recently launched the new Mi 5X smartphone in China, which is yet another variant of the Mi 5 smartphone with a dual-rear camera setup. However, talking about the smartphone in launches in India, they launched the new Mi Max 2 smartphone last month and now, it looks like we will be getting a new smartphone from them next month.

Yes, the managing director of Xiaomi India has posted on his social media handles, stating about the company launching a new smartphone with a dual-camera setup in India. This would be the first smartphone from the company launching in India with a dual-camera setup. However, the smartphone is unknown since he didn’t mention about the smartphone other than the fact that it has a dual-camera setup at the back. And as well know, there are quite a few offerings from the company, on the same lines.

If we were to guess, obviously the smartphone which we want the company to launch is the new Mi 6, however, it is highly unlikely that Xiaomi will bring that to India. So our next bet is on the Xiaomi Mi5X smartphone which the company just recently launched in China. It has a dual rear-camera which matches the description given by Manu Kumar Jain. But there is also a possibility that they could bring the new Xiaomi Mi 5i to India. For those of you who don’t know, Xiaomi Mi 5i is the successor to the Mi 4i which they launched previously.

Do make a note that the Mi 5i smartphone is not yet launched in any market, so it is possible that we might see a global launch or maybe they could launch the smartphone in India first. So the information is not yet officially confirmed and hence we suggest you take this with a pinch of salt. Whereas, on the other hand, the possibility of launching the Mi 5x is quite high since it is already launched in China.

And speaking of the Mi 5x smartphone, as mentioned earlier, it was recently launched by Xiaomi in China. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, which is coupled with 4GB of RAM. On the front, there is a 5.5-inch FHD display and at the back, there is a dual-camera setup. Having said that, it looks like we have to wait a bit more to know exactly what we will be getting here.
