The Chinese Smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has now made the new Mi 5X smartphone official in China. This particular smartphone was spotted in the news, a few times and we already knew pretty much everything about this smartphone before its launch. However, now the company has made it official and we also know the pricing at it which it will be available. The Mi 5X smartphone is priced at CNY 1,499 in China and you can get it in Gold, Black, and Rose Gold color options.

Speaking about the smartphone specs, the Mi 5x sports a 5.5-inch 1080p display on the front, meaning it has a resolution of 1980 x 1080 pixels. Internally, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, which is coupled with 4GB of RAM. This variant also has 64GB of internal storage out of the box. Xiaomi is definitely going for a mid-ranged smartphone with this one.

The interesting feature of this smartphone is, however, the dual rear camera setup. This setup is the exact same one which the company fitted on the Mi 6 smartphone which they launched a couple of months back. However, that is the one thing which resembles the Mi 6, since the Mi 5x looks nothing like the Mi 6. In terms of the design, there is an interesting choice being made here. On the front, there are huge bezels to the bottom, but the fingerprint scanner still sits at the back of the device.

In terms of the software, the Mi 5X smartphone is running on Android 7.0 Nougat based MIUI 9. This is essentially the first smartphone to be running on this latest software out of the box. The MIUI 9 brings in a lot of new improvements Smart Assistant, built-in Image Search, etc. Now, talking about the battery inside this smartphone, the Mi 5X is kept powered by a 3,080mAh battery which should be good enough to at least keep the lights on for at least a day.

As mentioned earlier, the smartphone is launched in China and it is priced at CNY 1,499. If in case you are interested in buying this new smartphone, then you can do so by heading over to the company’s official website. As of now, there is no info regarding the launch of this particular smartphone in India.
