You can check out the CCTV Footage captured by the cameras of the scene when it happened. You can see the user suddenly get off the chair and throwing his Mi4i which is on fire. However, Xiaomi stated that they are currently investigating this issue to find out the root cause of this mishap. But according to the reports, the company might not be the one to be blamed here for this, as there are a lot of factors playing a role in this. Also, note that this not the first time a Xiaomi’s device has caught fire. Previously a similar incident was reported back in 2013 as well.
Even the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ has faced similar issues of catching fire before. Now we just have to wait and see what the company responds for this. Stay tuned for more updates once the company reverts back, after the investigation.
