Xiaomi Mi3S Android Phone News, Leaked Specifications & Details

Xiaomi Mi3S Benchmark

Xiaomi has been impressing the customers with the excellent numbers, the pricing set for the devices and finally, the inclusions. The Xiaomi Mi3 flagship had some excellent specifications when the company unveiled the same in 2013. Now, the same company is coming up with the successor to the Mi3, with the Xiaomi Mi3S leaked with some specifications detailed, showing that this would be another powerhouse from Xiaomi.

If rumors were not enough, the leaks are here and these are through the AnTuTu benchmark test which revealed most of the important specifications of the upcoming device. And importantly, this one is going to have some excellent specs, including the 2.5 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, i.e. MSM8974-AC – the same chipset which powers the Samsung Galaxy S5, and it gets the support from Adreno 330 GPU. The support by 3GB RAM could make it even more powerful, as the Xiaomi MI3S showed the inclusion of that in the AnTuTu results.

When its the latest stuff, its obvious for one to expect some good benchmark scores, but the Mi3S fails to get that, with a score of 31432 points in the AnTuTu benchmark, while there are quite a lot of other devices in this year’s range which have got scores over 33000, thus there is some work to do for Xiaomi, but on the other side, we might be expecting a lot from one of the prototypes as one cannot say whether this was the actual piece which is going to enter the market later – and there’s some optimization to be done before the launch.

The other inclusions in the upcoming phone include the 13-megapixel rear shooter along with the 8-megapixel front facing camera which should be a delight for people fond of taking selfies (there are a very limited number of phones which have a decent front camera). The OS version spotted by the app is Android 4.4.2, the KitKat OS at its latest version.

The storage was found to be 16GB ROM and we are pretty sure that Xiaomi would be providing the MicroSD card slot for the storage expansion. The external details give us an idea that the screen would be something we saw in most of the flagships last year – a 5-inch 1080p display (as seen in the Galaxy S4, Xperia Z1, Gionee Elife E6 and a few more). There are no details about the battery, but if the company tries to improve it from the 3050 mAh capacity in the Mi3, then that should be a big plus.

The predecessor to this, the Xiaomi Mi3 had got a good response in the Chinese market and now, the phone even is receiving the Android KitKat update, and display wise there isn’t any difference that we are seeing, as the Mi-3 also had the 5-inch 1080p display, while the secondary camera is what gets the big upgrade – from a 2MP lens to a 8MP one.

Check this page later for more updates on this, and given the current state in the market, we are sure Xiaomi has plans to make this official any time soon.
