After launching the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro last year, now Xiaomi is rumored to launch the Mi Note 2 by the end of this year. Today, the company has teased the Mi Note 2 with the image saying “2>5” and hashtag “Love without Losing.” From this, we can expect the device to features high-end specifications as on Xiaomi Mi 5. We expect the device to run on the recently announced MIUI 8 out of the box. Till date, we have seen many rumors about this upcoming device.
Along with LeEco, Xiaomi is said to launch the smartphone with the dual camera lens. While we already covered about the LeEco’s smartphone, the Mi Note 2 might be the device from Xiaomi. It is also rumored to sport dual edge display. Liwan Jiang, co-founder of Xiaomi has recently confirmed via blog post that the company will be launching its most premium smartphone in the second half of 2016. He also confirmed that the device will be priced higher than 4,000 Yuan (approx $600 / Rs. 40,350).
The device might also be powered by the Snapdragon 821/823 chipset which is an upgraded version of Snapdragon 820 chipset. Though we aren’t sure, the display will also support 3D Touch; same as Gionee S8, Huawei Mate S, and Meizu Pro 6. Unlike iOS, there is no much usage of 3D Touch in Android, and even developers aren’t upgrading the apps with 3D Touch options. Though rumors suggested Google to offer 3D Touch by native with the Android 7.0 Nougat, but later it is said to be postponed for next year.
