Last year around the same time, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer launched the Mi Mix smartphone. At the time of the launch, it was the first smartphone to launch with a bezel-less display with almost no bezels on three sides of the display. However, fast forward a year later, we have a ton of them in the market, in fact, there are fake ones too. However, this does not stop the manufacturers to come with new iterations and on the same lines, Xiaomi is also bringing the next variant of the Mi Mix called the Mi Mix 2.

Yes, it is now officially confirmed that Xiaomi is launching the next version of Mi Mix and in fact, the launch is scheduled to happen early next month i.e. September 6th. The same has been confirmed by a teaser image which the company posted on Weibo, which is a Chinese social media website. The teaser poster is embedded down below for you to take a look at it.

As you see from the teaser poster, a silhouette of a bezel less smartphone appears to be shown. From this image, we can confirm that the smartphone will have the same pointed edges and we won’t be seeing rounded edges or at least that’s the teaser poster indicates. At this point in time, it is quite hard to predict how big the display will actually be and what will its screen-to-body ratio.

Although we don’t have any official info about the same, there are a few rumors which we can discuss and shed some light on what to expect from this smartphone. As far as the rumors are concerned, it looks like the smartphone will sport a 6.4-inch AMOLED display on the front with a resolution of 2540×1440 pixels. Internally, it is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 835 SoC which is currently the flagship chipset which Qualcomm manufactures. The smartphone is expected to be made available in a couple of configurations like 6GB/ 8GB RAM with 128GB/256GB internal storage.

On the software side of things, it looks like this smartphone will be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box with the company’s custom UI on top of it. The entire package is expected to be kept powered by a 4,500mAh battery. Having said that, we would like to know your thoughts on this.
