With the Festival of Diwali coming in, we have already started seeing more and more festive season offers and sales. On the same lines, Xiaomi is also expected to offer flash deals. But not just that, the company has also announced the launch of the Mi Max Prime. Yes, this is essentially a new variant of the smartphone which was previously launched by the company in the month of June.
Now when you talk about the smartphone itself, we are looking at a new variant with a new processor and more RAM. The new Mi Max Prime smartphone comes with the Snapdragon 652 and it also packs 4GB of RAM. In addition to that, this smartphone will also come with 128GB of internal storage. This new variant called the Mi Max Prime will be available in India during the Diwali sale, where they will be offering other devices as well for a discounted price.
In terms of the difference between the originally launched Mi Max and the Mi Max Prime, we now have an improved processor which is Snapdragon 652 as compared to the snapdragon 650. We also have 4GB of RAM as compared to the 3GB on the original model. And also an internal storage of 128GB as compared to the 32GB on the original one. But as far as the other specs go, all of them remains the same. It sports the same 6.44-inch full-HD (1080×1920) 342ppi display.
The Mi Max Prime also offers an option to expand your phone’s memory upto 128GB via microSD card. And in terms of the camera, we are looking at a 16-megapixel rear facing shooter with a f/2.0 aperture and a LED flash. There is also a 5-megapixel front facing selfie snapper. It is kept powered by a massive 4,850 mAh battery as well. Other connectivity options include 4G LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ A-GPS with Glonass, and Wi-Fi 802.11ac.
If you are in the market for a smartphone/phablet then this is as good as it gets. Samsung also launched the A9 Pro smartphone which also matches the specs of the newly launched Mi Max Prime. It also packs a snapdragon 652 processor along with 4GB of RAM. The A9 Pro comes with a 6-inch display which is pretty much close to the Mi Max, so it completely depends on the consumers to choose here. However, both the smartphones are a great choice for media consumption.
As far as the pricing and the availability are concerned, the new Xiaomi Mi Max Prime will be available starting from October 17th on mi.com for 19,999 INR. So if you are in the market for a phablet with such a huge display, then this should a great device to consider as an option as mentioned. Stay tuned for more info on this.
