Xiaomi Mi Max 3 with 6.9″ Display, SD636 & 5500mAh Battery is Now Official

The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 has been continuously in news for the last few days. The company has revealed the design and specifications through teaser images. Today, the Mi Max 3 is officially launched in China and there are no surprise announcements. The new Mi Max 3 is a major leap over the Mi Max 2 in terms of design and specifications. It comes in Meteorite Black, Dream Gold, and Dark Blue color options. The device is currently available for registrations and will be on sale starting July 20th.

As mentioned earlier, the device comes with a large 6.9-inch IPS display with Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. There is also a 2.5D curved glass laid on the top. It comes only in one variant and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. The Mi Max 3 will be available in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants and includes 64GB and 128GB of internal storage respectively. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI out of the box.

Talking about the cameras, the device sports dual rear cameras featuring 12MP primary sensor with f/1.9 aperture and a 5MP secondary sensor. On the front is the single 8MP camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calls. Both the cameras come accompanied by a LED flash. On the rear, we can also spot the circular fingerprint sensor. However, the Mi Max 3 also supports face unlock feature. It is kept powered on by a huge 5,500mAh battery and supports 9V/2A (18W) Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology.

It measures 176.15 × 87.4 × 7.99 mm and weighs 221 grams. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, IR Blaster, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port. Coming to the pricing, the Mi Max 3 with 4GB and 6GB of RAM is priced at 1699 Yuan and 1999 Yuan respectively.
