Mi Edge – Next Dual Edge Screen SmartPhone from Xiaomi Rumored

Xiaomi has been cashing in a lot of sales since it first entered in India last year. The company that was available in limited countries till last year now has an operation in more than ten countries. So, eventually a new device should be expected from the company, and since the Mi 5 is yet to arrive, there has been rumour in the market that a Mi phone with Edge screen is going to arrive.

The Mi Edge at this stage is a purely rumoured device, we don’t know if any concrete evidence is there to showcase the specifications, except the Weibo. A tipster with handle @KJuma has posted the specification of the alleged device.

With the interests of Dual Edge Screen seen on the S6 Edge and now the S6 Edge+, the Xiaomi is also allegedly coming up with a dual edge screen device named, Millet Edge or Mi Edge. Based on rumors, the Xiaomi Mi Edge might come powered by a Snapdragon 808 chipset, which is Hexa-core CPU. It is supposed to pack Adreno 418 GPU alongside the processor.

Sporting a 5.2-inch Quad HD display with 2560 x 1440 resolution and 565 PPI count, it would be company’s first 2K display smartphone if announced. There might be a 3GB or 4GB RAM availability on the device, as well as there is some speculation about Fingerprint scanner being placed on the phone. It is expected to arrive in sometime October with a pricing equivalent of around $400.

This is all rumors at its earliest, so we recommend that you take this with a grain of salt. Though, it isn’t impossible to imagine Xiaomi coming up with such smartphone, but there is no official word on the device from the company about this model yet.
