Xiaomi Mi Band 4 Achieves 1 Million Milestone in Just 8 Days

A couple of weeks back, Xiaomi launched the Mi Band 4 fitness tracker in China. It is the successor to the affordable Mi Band 3 fitness tracker. In just 8 days, the Mi Band 4 has already crossed one million shipments. While the Mi Band 4 is priced at CNY 169 (approx USD 24.5 / INR 1,700), the NFC variant costs CNY 229 (approx USD 33 / INR 2,300). The company won’t be launching the NFC variant outside of China. Also, the global variant will miss out the support for voice assistants.
In China, the users can talk with Mi Band 4 for controlling Mijia smart devices, asking queries, setting alarm, and many more using the Xiaomi’s voice assistant Xiao AI. While the company also launched the Mi Band 4 as Mi Smart Band 4 in Europe, it will go on sale starting June 26th. Xiaomi also confirmed to soon launch the Mi Band 4 in the Indian market. Even with several new features, we expect the Mi Band 4 to cost the same as Mi Band 3.
It sports a 0.95-inch AMOLED color display with 240 by 120 pixels resolution. The display on the Mi Band 4 is also 39.9% bigger than the monochrome display offered with the Mi Band 3. There is also a 2.5D curved glass on the top. The latest Mi Band 4 supports Bluetooth 5.0 for pairing with Android and iOS devices. It is also water resistant up to 5ATM (50 meters) and comes with an upgraded 6-axis high-precision sensor to intelligently recognize different type of swimming strokes.
The Mi Band 4 can also track 6 different sport modes like indoor running, outdoor running, exercise, swimming, cycling, and walking. While Mi Band 4 sports a 135mAh battery and gives 20 days of battery life, the Mi Band 4 NFC variant with 125mAh battery last up to 15 days on a single charge. Talking about the India launch, the company is yet to reveal the exact launch date. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
