Xiaomi Mi 9 Starts receiving MIUI 10 Stable Update with Camera Improvements

Xiaomi’s Mi 9 was launched last week at the MWC event held in Spain and now it has started reaching its first MIUI stable update via OTA. This new built will bring MIUI version 10.2.12.0.PFAEUXM as per a tweet and this will also bring optimizations to the UI for phones with a notch. Furthermore, there are improvements to the camera bringing a new Moon mode in the AI camera for capturing nightscapes that feature the moon.

The video camera will be tracking focus on moving things or objects and give still pictures. The update will be rollout gradually and will be received by your device depending on the region you are in. You can always go to the settings of the smartphone and check for the update if it is available for download. Make sure the device has enough battery to download the update and install it via Wi-Fi to save data charges.

The Xiaomi Mi 9 comes with 6.39-inch 1080 x 2340 pixels resolutions with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top and out of the box, it comes with Android 9 Pie. The device is available in 6/8GB RAM options along with 64/128GB storage variants. Under the hood, there is the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC coupled with Adreno 640 GPU. For security, the company has provided a fingerprint sensor under the display.

The handset comes with a triple camera set up on the rear with one main 48MP sensor, a 16MP ultra wide sensor and also a 12MP telephoto camera and on the front, we can find a 20MP camera for selfies.
