Google Starts Rolling Out March 2019 Android Security Update for Pixel 3 Series



Google has decided to roll out a new uptake for its Pixel 3 series and has also posted a factory image of the same as a part of monthly Android Security release. This update is rollout via OTA and it also includes many functional improvements for both the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones. The improvements include a faster camera startup responsiveness, storage performance improvements, playback improvements for encrypted media, Bluetooth reliability and few more.

The different model numbers have improvements in the different categories which are mentioned below. The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL with the reference number A-122471935 gets improvements startup and responsiveness of Camera app, A-120920537 gets improvements in storage performance, A-119776006 gets Bluetooth reliability on the Pixels 3 devices. Furthermore, the models A-112046316, A-118317435 and A-120212581 will get improvement for recovery in the instance of OTA update failure.

Finally, the A-111260263 and A-116848259 find improvements in the playback of encrypted media on some video apps. The update might take place some time to reach your device depending on the region and model of the handset. If you can’t wait for the update, go to the settings of the handset and select the system updates section. Now if the update file is available, download it and before installation makes sure the smartphone has enough battery on it.
