Xiaomi Mi 9 that was launched earlier this year is now getting a new storage option of 8GB / 256GB and this news comes just hours after Realme announced the new 256GB storage of its flagship device. This storage variant will be available from stores tomorrow in China and will be costing CNY3,299. Furthermore, the first adopters of this varaint will be getting a 20W wireless charger for free which costs CNY99 when purchased separately. This variant is listed in Ocean Blue, Piano Black and Lavender Violet color options.
Talking about the Mi 9, the device comes with a glass body in gradient finish and has a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection on top. It has a 90.7 percent screen to body ratio. Under the hood, the handset is powered with 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform with a clocking speed of 2.84GHz coupled with Kryo 480 CPU and Adreno 640 GPU.
There is a triple camera setup on this flagship device with a 48MP main camera (Sony IMX586 sensor) with f/1.75 aperture along with 12MP Samsung S5K3M5 sensor with f/2.2 aperture for 2x optical zoom and 16MP Sony IMX481 sensor with f/2.2 aperture for a 117-degree super wide-angle view. There is a 20MP selfie camera which is also used for facial unlocking. It comes with other AI features like AI portrait mode, AI Face beauty and few more.
The device also has the Game Turbo technology which enhances the gaming performance giving a better gaming experience for its users. There is a 3300mAh battery on the smartphone with the support for 27W fast charging and also supports 20W wireless charging also. It will be coming out of the box with the latest Android 9 Pie operating system and should get further updates when available.
