As announced yesterday Xiaomi has announced the lIte variant of its Mi 8 Smartphone in 4GB RAM and 128GB of storage option. The Mi 8 Pro and Mi 8 Lite were announced in September this year and the Lite variant was available in 6GB RAM and 128GB of Storage or 4GB RAM and 64GB option. This new 4GB and 128GB variant is introduced in China and will be launching on 16th of November in the country and expected to be followed by global launch later.
The Smartphone is expected to be arriving in Europe, with Ukraine and France being the first markets to receive the smartphone and Xiaomi has organized a party in the UK and has planned for an even in the US. Well, we have to wait and see when the global market will receive the device in the new storage option which is expected to happen soon. Although the pricing of the new variant is not known yet, it is expected to be announced soon.
Coming to the specs sheet of the Mi 8 Lite, it will feature a 6.26-inch IPS LCD display with 1080 x 2280 pixels resolutions. Out of the box, it comes with Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with MIUI on top. There is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC under the hood, with eight cores coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. There is one 24MP camera on the front and dual rear-facing camera sensors (12MP + 5MP).
The company has pushed in a fingerprint sensor on the rear and has a 3350 mAh fast charging battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
