Xiaomi Mi 6 could be the first Chinese flagship to be powered by Snapdragon 835 SoC

Qualcomm announced its flagship processor called the Snapdragon 835 chipsets a couple of days back at the CES 2017 show floor. These processors are the best ones that Qualcomm has to offer that are built on 10nm process. We can expect pretty much all the upcoming flagship smartphones of 2017 to come powered by this SoC as it is pretty much the best right now in the market. Talking about the devices that are expected to be powered by this processor, the Samsung Galaxy S8 seems to be the first one since that is the only smartphone which is scheduled to launch in the near future.

According to the new reports which we have, it looks like the Xiaomi made Mi 6 smartphone could be the first Chinese flagship to be powered by the latest and the greatest of what Qualcomm has to offer. Talking about the other contenders for the use of this chipset, there seems to be no one else thus far other than Xiaomi. Also, a well-known industry analyst earlier predicted that Xiaomi is will be the first one to implement it and now recently he has reaffirmed the same. Hence it seems to be quite true that Xiaomi will be one to take the cake first.

Also if you haven’t heard already, Samsung has pushed the Galaxy S8 launch from February to April and the reason for the same has been reported as the low output of Samsung 10nm chipsets. While we are not sure if that is the reason, it is pretty much confirmed that Samsung has pushed back it’s launch date further since all the reports point towards the same info. If that happens and meanwhile if Xiaomi manages to launch the Mi 6 before that, then Mi 6 will not only be the first Chinese smartphone to come powered by a Snapdragon 835 but Xiaomi will also be first brand globally that would feature the Snapdragon 835 SoC on board.

Well, talking about the Mi 6 smartphone, we don’t have much info to report just yet. However, there are reports that claim that the smartphone could come equipped with Helio X30 SoC as well. Hence we are not really sure what is Xiaomi planning on this just yet. Whatever it is, we just hope that they will be launching this smartphone very soon. With that said, if you are interested to know more on this, then we suggest you stay tuned to PhoneRadar for details on the same.
