Xiaomi global is going to hold a global premiere event in India, interestingly for a global launch of a new Mi phone. Giving it a tagline “i IS COMING”, Xiaomi has set up a page for people to register and try to get a pass for the event happening in New Delhi, on 23rd April.
Unlike the India-only events where the global V.P. Hugo Barra addresses the media gathering, the global Mi launch is going to have Xiaomi’s founder and CEO Lei Jun, Co-founder Bin Lin and global VP, Hugo Barra. Just a couple of days back, Xiaomi’s fifth anniversary saw some good offers from the company, and that is when the company started selling its products on the other online retailers, i.e. Amazon and Snapdeal, not keeping it exclusive to Flipkart.
Now whether there is a completely new device coming up during the end of the month, is still a guessing game. Some are claiming this to be the new Mi5, though there is absolutely no proper leak around on the web, or any indication towards that, and many on the other side, are claiming this to be a global launch for the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro devices, which were just available only in the Chinese market.
If you are a fan, you could try and register for the same, and be a part of the premiere. Good to see that Xiaomi is considering India already as one of the major markets to sell its smartphones.
What are you expecting to see at the global event? My wild guess is that we might see Mi Note and Mi Note Pro, but who doesn’t like surprises?
