Xiaomi to enter the U.S market with a new product launch in October

The Chinese smartphone manufacturing company Xiaomi, is known for its pocket-friendly budget smartphones. These smartphones have a premium built quality and offer some good specs for the price. Currently, the company is not selling its smartphones in the United States of America, but it looks like it is soon going to change. Xiaomi’s Vice President Hugo Barra stated that the company is eager to enter the market and get in touch with some young generation who are enthusiastic about some new technology.

U.S is a huge market for smartphones and it will definitely help them grow bigger once they enter the market. Xiaomi devices get’s a huge response in other Asian countries including India, where it is extremely for its budget-friendly smartphones. They recently launched the new Redmi 3S smartphone, which received a good response. Also note that the company is already selling other products in the US like their headphones, power banks, etc; and this has helped them establish a brand name. It is also reported that the company acquired over thousands of patents from Microsoft, which is a clear indication that the company is planning something big here.

Hugo also mentioned that they are going to launch a new product in the U.S in the month of October. However, he didn’t give any other details on the same. There are various reports stating that it may not be a smartphone. Xiaomi also launched a new Laptop called the Mi Notebook Air recently. So let’s wait and see what they are going to launch. If they happen to sell smartphones, then the company will be battling it out directly with big players like Apple, Samsung etc. And there are other factors to consider as well like selling the smartphones through mobile carriers like Verizon and AT&T etc. with that being said, let’s see how this works out for them, once they officially make it to the US market.
