Xiaomi recently announced the new CC series to launch camera-centric smartphones. The company will be using the Meitu’s patented camera technologies to boost the camera performance of the Xiaomi CC smartphones. The boot screen animation of the Xiaomi CC series is now revealed by one of the company’s official. The earlier leaked specifications revealed the CC smartphones to run on MIUI with custom CC skin laid on top.

Unlike the other Xiaomi smartphones running on MIUI, the Xiaomi CC smartphones come with completely different boot animation. The animation shows “CC by Xiaomi” text with a white color background. As per the leaks, Xiaomi CC9 and CC9e will be the first smartphones to launch under this new series. Both the devices will be running on Android 9.0 Pie-based MIUI 10 out of the box. With the new CC smartphones, the company will be targeting young people with several camera features.

Xiaomi’s expertise in the AI photography along with Meitu’s popular features from its photo-editing and beauty apps might make the Xiaomi CC smartphones favorite option for the people who want to capture a lot of photos using their smartphones. As of now, there is no information about the launch of the rumored Xiaomi CC9 and CC9e smartphones. Both the devices will be offering waterdrop notch display on the front featuring the 32MP Samsung GD1 sensor.

However, the Xiaomi CC9 is said to include optical image stabilization (OIS) for the selfie camera. On the rear, both the CC9 smartphones sport 48MP triple cameras. While the Xiaomi CC9 uses 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, the Xiaomi CC9e is equipped 48MP Sony IMX582 sensor. The only difference between these two sensors is the lack of 4K 60 fps video recording support for the Sony IMX582 sensor. Apart from the CC9 smartphones, Xiaomi might also launch Meitu branded flagship smartphone as a successor to the Snapdragon 845-powered Meitu V7 launched in December 2018.

The Meitu V7 was launched after Meitu announced its partnership with Xiaomi. It came with triple front cameras and dual rear cameras. Now, the new teaser image of the upcoming Meitu smartphone revealed flip camera mechanism featuring triple rear cameras. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details about the upcoming camera-focused smartphones from Xiaomi.
